The Deep Diver Specialty course is designed for those who want to explore beyond the standard recreational diving limits.

This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to dive safely up to 40 meters (130 feet).

Deep Diver Course Overview

The Deep Diver course is an exciting opportunity to learn how to plan and execute deep dives.

Over a minimum of two days and four open-water dives, you will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of our experienced Instructor.

  • Dive Planning: Learn how to plan dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters, including gas management and safety considerations.
  • Safety Procedures: Understand the importance of buddy contact, buoyancy control, and safety stops at greater depths.

What are the benefits of using nitrox for deep diving?
Using nitrox, also known as enriched air, offers several benefits for deep diving. Here are some key advantages:

What are the risks of using nitrox?

  • High Partial Pressure of Oxygen: As you descend deeper, the partial pressure of oxygen increases. At high partial pressures, oxygen can become toxic, leading to symptoms such as visual disturbances, nausea, dizziness, disorientation, convulsions, and even unconsciousness.
  • Maximum Operating Depth (MOD): Each nitrox mix has a specific MOD, beyond which the risk of oxygen toxicity increases significantly. Divers must be aware of and adhere to these limits.
